Title |
U. S. Steel - "Pour" From Open Hearth |
Description |
Molten iron pours from a huge ladle into an open hearth furnace to be refined into steel. Iron came from the blast furnaces, then went to the open hearth and then to the finishing mills. All of these processes took place within the South Works plant; therefore, it was an intergrated mill. |
