c.1916. Ore boats docked at 106th Street for winter. PETER A.B. WIDENER (left) was launched October 20, 1906 at Chicago Shipbuilding Company for the Pittsburgh Steamship Co. (later the U. S. Steel Corp. in 1952). The GEORGE F. BAKER (right) was built at Superior Shipbuilding Company in 1907. |
