Description | Miscellaneous notes and newspaper clippings, source unknown. Typed note on the envolope the clippings were in "Parody on Barbara Fritchie found in Grandpa's papers. He was very fond of reciting humorous poetry and prose and was particularly clever at imitating other folk's voices. Aunt Jane Thomassen, who lived in Pella, Iowa was good at that too. Grandpa could also play the piano very well, all by ear. Also a clipping - the first steam whistle.". There is also an ad for Paterson Business School on the reverse of the clipping. |
