Color photograph of Strong residence located at 1019 E. 48th Street, Chicago.This gray stucco house shows many attributes of Queen Anne design, including the asymmetrical entrance porch, 2-story bay, deep eaves with brackets and the deep row of windows in the 3rd floor roofline peak. It may have originally been a brick house with the addition of stucco now covering other period details. "Solon S. Beman: Architecture in Illinois" exhibit.
