Left to right, Front Street storefronts, 115th Street Stations with clock, pedestrian overpass in distance at Pullman/111th, brick building behind water tank appears to be original (1880s). Kensington Station was for through trains to New York, etc. The other station with the clock is likely the commuter station. Pullman smokestack in seen in the distance.

Parise Family

Images of Valentino Parise and family. Parise immigrated to Chicago from Venice, Italy. He purchased land at 400 E. Kensington (Kinsinton and South Park) where he operated an office for the Cunard steamship lines and later opened the Kensington Buffet Company (a saloon), a restaurant and neighborhood bar. Also included is a paper written by Tony Parise on the history of his family and their businesses in Kensington for an American History class, 3/19/81.

Matchbook from Roy Pesavento's Restaurant in Roseland. Address is shown incorrectly as 11500 E. Front Street; the correct address was 11500 S. Front Street. Pesavento's closed in the mid-late 1970s.
